5th House (House of Creativity)

The 5th House relates to the sign of Leo and the luminary Sun. It reflects all that is creative in your life, including children. It also indicates one's internal attitude toward your inner child. It shows those areas where you can feel spontaneous and act instinctively without too much self-consciousness. For example, if the planet Uranus were in the 5th House, there would be an intellectual quality to your creativity, providing new ideas.

The Sun is the ruler of both the 5th sign (Leo) and the 5th House, so there is always an element of where you impose your will and where you show leadership. When planets appear in the 5th House, they have this leadership and spontaneity aspect to them. If planets do not appear here, it does not mean that you have no interest in being creative, merely that the things that you create and the act of creating is not a central arena in your life.
