The discovery of Chiron in our solar system in 1977 coincided with the re-emergence of alternative modes of healing which had their origins in ancient times. The myth of Chiron is that he was an immortal, one of the half-man, half-horse centaurs who lived amongst the gods. But Chiron was unlike the other centaurs in that he was interested in the healing arts. He was wounded when he accidently dropped an arrow on his foot, and his pain was so great that he chose to give up his immortality and die.
My keyword for the planetoid Chiron is "healing" because of the mythology of Chiron, and because he represents the kind of wisdom required for healing. Astrologers have added this point to their charts after many years of research into charts and some excellent books discussing those findings.
